When we first found out that we were going to be adopting our son, we had just a few short (but very exciting!) weeks to get prepared for his birth. Instagram and Pinterest weren’t really around yet and I remember feeling incredibly overwhelmed when it came time to buy supplies for our sweet little boy. Fast-forward nearly ten years and three more kids later, and I feel like I have been able really fine tune which baby products are my favorite.

These products may not be considered “essentials” like a stroller, crib, or car seat, but they are products that I’ve grown to love because they do a great job of combining function with fashion – they really just make being a mom to a baby or toddler a little bit easier!

Whether you are a first time or seasoned mom or just looking for the perfect shower gift, these are some of our favorite baby items:

Copper Pearl Baby Products

I was lucky enough to be introduced to Copper Pearl about five years ago when they first started out and were only carrying bibs. I was gifted one of their original sets and I loved how it caught my baby’s drool and was still a fashionable accessory for him to wear. Since that time, Copper Pearl has expanded their products to include burp cloths, swaddle blankets, car seat cover, quilts, and more.

Although I’ve liked all of their products, I really loved their burp cloths and swaddle blankets with my last babe. My daughter had pretty bad reflux as an infant, and I found their burp cloths to be the best at containing and cleaning the mess. They are seriously so absorbent, and they have the cutest patterns!

I have also loved their swaddle blankets. They are made from a thin, stretchy, knit material and come in the same patterns as their other products. These blankets are large and have been the easiest blanket to swaddle with – even our pediatrician commented on how great it was! My daughter is 16 months old now and still uses her Copper Pearl blanket daily; I’m pretty sure that it’s her favorite!

Homedics White Noise Machine

A White Noise Machine may not seem like the most exciting baby product, but it sure was helpful when sleep training our youngest baby. Now, anytime she is in her room when the sound machine turns on and the room gets dark, she knows it’s time for bed. I have liked this sound machine because you have the option of using a timer or leaving it on until you’re ready to turn it off and it has all the basic sounds for baby. It seems to do a good job of blocking out all the other sounds in our house that are coming from her three older siblings and the family dog. As an added convenience – it has the option to be plugged in or battery-powered.

Ergo Baby Carrier

We bought our Ergobaby Carrier for our third baby and boy, do I wish we had bought one sooner! I loved that he could fit into it as a newborn and continue wearing it until he was about 2+ years old. I used this to get things done around the house when he just wanted to be held and when we were out and about, but I needed to keep my hands free. I even wore him in it when I hiked to Delicate Arch in Arches National Park! The Ergobaby Carrier is a great product to use if you are active, but can’t always take a stroller with you (like hiking) or really if you just have a baby that likes to be held.

Re-Play Stackable Snack Containers

Re-Play is another brand that I discovered a few years ago when I was looking for a better way to store my kids snacks. They have a full line of toddler and kid eating products, including sippy cups, divided plates, bowls, utensils, and snack pods. I love Re-Play Stackable Food and Snack Storage Containers because it is an easy way to toss my kids’ favorite snacks in the diaper bag without worrying about a big mess. They include lids that screw on snuggle AND you can screw multiple pods together. My kids have enjoyed the bright colors and their products still look new, even after regular use by my kids. Best of all, all their products are made from recycled milk jugs, so you can feel good about helping the environment.

Clip ‘n Go Stroller Clips

How many times have you been out with a stroller and had a hard time carrying all your stuff? Maybe the diaper bag doesn’t fit over the handles or your shopping bag doesn’t quite fit under the seat? Cue the Clip n Go Stroller Clips! I use my stroller clips ALL THE TIME. Whether it’s to keep my diaper bag accessible, bundle up my shopping bags, or even just have a place to carry stuff for my older kids, these are an easy and affordable way to organize and free up some space when you are out and about.

Baby Play Gym

I haven’t used this particular style, but Beth has a HAN-MM Wooden Baby Gym for her baby, and he loves it! Beth loves how well it keeps her son entertained, the neutral color scheme, and it is made from natural products (no chemicals!)

Snuggle Me Organic Lounger

This product is a bit of a splurge, but also comes highly recommended by Beth. She said that her Snuggle Me Organic Baby Lounger has been a life saver while she was been trying to work from home with a new baby. It is a comfortable spot for him to rest and it’s easy for her to move it around the house while she is working. Although these aren’t recommended for unsupervised sleep, it has been a great little spot for her baby to rest during the day.

Have you tried any of the products that we recommend? Which baby products can you not live without?
