Lifestyle/practical self-care includes looking at your current lifestyle and adjusting the areas in which are bringing you added and unnecessary stress. This area ensures you are living in a healthy environment free from danger and abuse. For example, are you spending too much time in front of a screen? Is your home in constant disarray? This area can relate to managing your finances, housework, employment, and creating/maintaining healthy boundaries.

 

Benefits of lifestyle/practical self-care:

  • Feeling of control in your environment
  • Being organized can help with time management and will increase productivity and mood
