Can you believe Halloween is next week!?!? What’ Can you believe Halloween is next week!?!? What’s your favorite Halloween themed book to read with the kids in your life? Here’s a picture with our haul this year. We really like the @usborne_books touch and feel, so that’s not my monster is our go to! Make sure to save this post so you can refer back to it for some book ideas!
October is pregnancy and infant loss awareness mon October is pregnancy and infant loss awareness month and today specifically is a day remembering those losses.

Dealing with infertility is the hardest thing I’ve had to go through. Each month is a constant battle. And having a miscarriage makes that even harder. In the 5 years that we’ve been married we’ve had 4 miscarriages and I know we are sure to have more as we keep working towards building our family. The only memory I have of some of those babies is only the picture of the positive pregnancy test.

I hear justifications for early miscarriages especially. That at least it happened early or it was *just* a chemical pregnancy. But a loss is a loss. It is still pain. It is still grief. Feeling all those feelings of hope for the future and what life will be like just explode.

It’s hard knowing that I will never get excited to see a positive pregnancy test. It’s even harder knowing my husband will never get excited for it either. Because my odds are, it won’t last. We’ll never have the excited video of us finding out we’re pregnant because we will always think in the back of our minds that maybe this won’t last or we’ll see how long this lasts or I’ll be excited when the baby is actually here. Because even at the end of a pregnancy there is still so much fear that anything could go wrong.

Remember never to compare whose grief or pain is worse. All pain is hard and should be felt. It just gets harder when you suppress it. And it really does come in waves.
It’s time to ‘Boo your Neighbor’! Have you e It’s time to ‘Boo your Neighbor’! Have you ever participated in this fun tradition? This was one of our favorite traditions when we were growing up and we have loved continuing it as adults. My kids love helping to leave a treat for our neighbors, ringing the bell, running away, and watching for the ghost to appear in their window. The way we celebrate Halloween may look a little different this year, but this is a fun tradition that you can still safely enjoy, especially if you purchase store-bought treats. You can find all the free printables and details on our blog (link in profile).

If you were getting “boo’d”, what kind of treat would you want left on your porch?
